About the Role:

As a Site Lead, you will play a key role in overseeing a small team of operatives, providing hands-on leadership to ensure smooth daily operations. You will be a vital link between manufacturing and installation teams, taking responsibility for various tasks, including but not limited to:

  • Planning and coordinating daily site activities and tasks.
  • Leading the installation of play equipment, demonstrating expert techniques and skills.
  • Supervising projects day-to-day, ensuring work is completed on schedule and to a high standard.
  • Collaborating with design, manufacturing, and installation teams to ensure site installations align with CDM regulations.
  • Serving as the primary site contact between teams, management, suppliers, and clients.
  • Overseeing installations to ensure they are carried out safely, efficiently, and within set deadlines.
  • Interpreting architectural drawings and setting up sites accordingly.
  • Ensuring site safety and welfare, maintaining a strong focus on health and safety compliance.
  • Liaising with management to sign off projects, ensuring compliance with PSI, H&S, and play safety requirements.
  • Delegating responsibilities effectively to maximise efficiency on-site.
  • Maintaining site vehicles, plant, and equipment, ensuring all machinery is in working order.
  • Managing site resources, including ordering necessary equipment, plant, and materials.
  • Taking ownership of all health and safety documentation, including PUWER, LOLER, HAVS, vehicle and plant inspections, and weekly Toolbox Talks.
  • Managing site expenditure, ensuring budgets are adhered to.
  • Communicating professionally with clients, suppliers, and contractors, both on-site and remotely.
  • Being prepared to work away from home for extended periods when required.

 

About You:

About You:

This role is ideal for a hands-on professional with experience working outdoors in varying weather conditions. A strong background in landscaping, fencing, and groundworks is highly beneficial. Woodwork or carpentry skills would be advantageous, though not essential.

You will need to be physically fit and comfortable with manual work, possessing a broad skill set in using various tools and machinery. As the main point of contact between site teams, management, and clients, you will ensure projects run efficiently, remain on schedule, and comply with health and safety regulations. Strong organisational skills, keen attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities are key to excelling in this role.

This role is based in Bristol, but requires flexibility, as you will be expected to work on sites across the UK and occasionally overseas for periods of 2-4 weeks at a time.
