You will work with a wide range of stakeholders across the construction sector, including contractors, architects, consultants, developers and other key decision-makers. Working closely with internal estimating, technical, commercial and operational teams, you will help develop solutions that meet customer requirements while supporting strong commercial returns.

The role would suit an experienced sales or business development professional who is comfortable working autonomously, building relationships at senior level and taking ownership of opportunities from initial contact through to contract award.

About You:

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop new business opportunities across an assigned geographical area.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, consultants, architects, developers and other industry stakeholders.
  • Identify upcoming projects and commercial opportunities that align with the organisation's capabilities.
  • Manage opportunities through the sales process, from initial enquiry and relationship development through to successful contract award.
  • Grow existing customer accounts and develop opportunities for repeat business.
  • Attend client meetings, site visits, industry events and technical discussions.
  • Maintain an accurate and well-managed sales pipeline.
  • Provide regular updates and forecasts on current and future opportunities.
  • Work closely with estimating, technical, commercial, design and operations teams to develop competitive proposals.
  • Support the preparation and submission of tenders and commercial proposals.
  • Assist with pricing discussions and negotiations where required.
  • Apply strong commercial judgement when assessing opportunities, pricing and potential margins.
  • Monitor competitor activity, market conditions and upcoming developments within the construction and engineering sectors.
  • Identify new markets, potential customers and strategic commercial opportunities.
