Core services include structural defect inspections as well as design work, supported by a network of associate engineers across London and the South-East to ensure strong local coverage.
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Principal Structural Engineer to work directly with clients, carrying out structural inspections, preparing reports, drawings, and calculations, and peer-reviewing the work of other engineers. The role is home-based with flexibility to work three, four, or five days per week.
Key Responsibilities
Manage new client enquiries, prepare quotes/invoices, and update the internal CRM system
Conduct site visits, surveys, designs, calculations, drawings, and reports
Review and approve reports, drawings, and specifications from other engineers as part of the peer-review process
Take part in fortnightly management calls focused on business performance and strategy
Required Qualifications and Skills
Chartered Engineer status (CEng or equivalent)
Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or equivalent)
Strong knowledge of UK Building Regulations and design standards
Excellent written and spoken English with the ability to produce clear reports and drawings
Proficiency in Microsoft Word (formatting and layouts)
Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
Desired Experience
