About the Role:

About The Role*

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Principal / Associate Structural Engineer to join a growing engineering consultancy based in Birmingham.

This role is ideal for a technically strong structural engineer looking to take the next step in their career by leading project delivery, supporting junior engineers, and playing an important role in the continued development of the team.

You will be responsible for delivering high-quality structural engineering solutions across a variety of sectors, working on both new-build developments and the adaptation of existing structures. You will collaborate with clients, architects, contractors, and internal teams to ensure projects are delivered successfully from concept through to completion.

About You:

About The Candidate*

Degree qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering.

Chartered Engineer status or actively working towards chartership through IStructE or ICE.

Strong experience within a structural engineering consultancy environment.

Experience delivering structural designs across a range of building types and sectors.

Strong technical knowledge of structural design principles and relevant UK standards.

Experience working with common structural materials including steel, reinforced concrete, timber, and masonry.

Ability to lead projects and provide technical guidance to engineers and technicians.

Strong client-facing skills with the ability to build effective working relationships.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Experience preparing technical reports, calculations, and engineering documentation.

A proactive approach with the ability to contribute to team growth and development.
