About The Role*
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Highways & Transport Engineer to join a growing engineering consultancy based in Leicester.
This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of transport-related projects, develop client relationships, and play a key role in the continued growth of the business. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to build and lead a team while delivering a wide range of transport engineering services across commercial, residential, industrial, and education developments.
You will be responsible for managing and delivering transport assessments, transport statements, and supporting highways-related engineering projects from concept through to completion.
About The Candidate*
Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or a related discipline (BEng/MEng or equivalent).
Minimum of 5 years' post-graduate experience within transport planning, highways, or civil engineering.
Chartered status, or working towards chartership through ICE, CIHT, or TPP.
Experience delivering Transport Statements, Transport Assessments, and supporting technical documentation.
Strong knowledge of national and local transport policies and highways requirements.
Ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining strong client relationships.
Experience carrying out junction assessments and providing practical engineering recommendations.
Familiarity with relevant transport modelling and industry software.
Confident representing the business at meetings with clients, highways authorities, planners, and consultants.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Leadership skills with the ability to support and develop a growing team.
Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle.
