Role Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Principal Structural/Civil Engineer to oversee site inspections, report creation, and manage client relationships. The role also includes mentoring junior engineers and contributing to the company’s growth through business development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct site inspections, produce design calculations, drawings, and reports.
• Lead the design and specification of complex projects.
• Peer-review the work of Associate Engineers.
• Manage client enquiries, produce quotes, and allocate work to the team.
• Contribute to business development and performance discussions.
• Participate in litigation work (training provided).

Essential Requirements:

• Chartered Engineer status (MIStructE/MICE).
• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or equivalent).
• Proficient in UK Building Regulations and design standards.
• Strong report-writing and communication skills.
• Access to a car and clean driving license.

Desirable Skills:

• Experience in managing staff.
• Familiarity with structural design software and CAD.
• Experience in litigation or expert witness roles.
• Business development experience.
