This is a full-time hybrid role for a CDM Principal Designer. The Principal Designer will be responsible for discharging Principal Designer duties under CDM 2015. The candidate must be willing to travel, with occasional trips to Birmingham and the West Midlands.

Qualifications and experience needed-

NEBOSH Construction Certificate

Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Built Environment, or Architecture

Expert knowledge of CDM 2015, Building Regulations, and the Building Safety Act

Knowledge and understanding of HTMs, JSPs, HBNs, and other industry-specific technical guidance

CMaPS, MCABE, MRICS, RIBA memberships (One or more)

Temporary Works Coordinator (desirable but not essential)

• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to produce Pre-Construction Information Packs
• Experience in carrying out Design Risk Assessments and appraising designs
• Client-facing with the ability to manage multiple projects
• Proficient in MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and other software
• Ability to complete H&S Files and assist in collating Golden Thread information and other documents
• Punctual and strong work ethic
• Ability to work effectively in a team
