An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Principal Structural Engineer to join a well-established engineering consultancy based in Leicester.

This role offers the chance to lead the structural design and delivery of a broad range of projects across the commercial, residential, industrial, education, and public sectors. Working closely with clients and multidisciplinary teams, you will provide technical leadership, oversee project delivery, and mentor junior engineers while contributing to the continued growth of the business.

You'll play a key role in delivering innovative and practical structural engineering solutions from concept through to completion, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest technical standards.

About The Candidate*

• Degree qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering (BEng/MEng).
• A minimum of 7 years' post-graduate experience within structural engineering consultancy.
• Chartered Engineer status, or actively working towards chartership through IStructE or ICE.
• Strong structural design and analysis experience across steel, reinforced concrete, timber, and masonry.
• Proficient in industry-standard structural engineering software.
• Experience leading structural engineering projects from concept through to construction.
• Previous experience managing engineers and technicians.
• Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet programme deadlines.
• Experience producing technical reports, calculations, and engineering documentation.
• Full UK driving licence.
