About the Role:

About The Role

We are currently recruiting for an HSQE Coordinator to support the ongoing development and maintenance of high standards across Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental compliance within a busy engineering and manufacturing environment.

Working closely with the HSQE Manager, you will help ensure that safe working practices are embedded across the organisation while supporting the monitoring, improvement and implementation of relevant policies, procedures and risk management systems.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working closely with operational teams and is confident carrying out inspections, audits and compliance activities within a practical engineering environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the maintenance and improvement of HSQE management systems.
  • Carrying out internal audits against relevant ISO standards, including ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
  • Completing regular workplace inspections and safety checks.
  • Conducting safety tours and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Assisting with external audit preparation and follow-up actions.
  • Supporting the investigation of incidents, non-conformances and other HSQE issues.
  • Helping develop and implement corrective and preventative actions.
  • Assisting with the delivery of HSQE training and awareness initiatives.
  • Promoting a positive and proactive Health & Safety culture throughout the business.
  • Liaising professionally with employees, clients, subcontractors and other stakeholders.
  • Providing general support to the HSQE Manager across a range of compliance and improvement activities.

About You:

About The Candidate

The successful candidate will ideally have:

  • Experience within a manufacturing, production, engineering or similar operational environment.
  • A NEBOSH qualification, preferably at Certificate level.
  • Experience or knowledge of internal auditing and ISO management systems.
  • Strong knowledge of workplace Health & Safety principles and relevant legislation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to work effectively with people at all levels of an organisation.
  • A proactive, self-motivated and practical approach.
  • The ability to work independently while also contributing effectively as part of a team.
  • Good Microsoft Office skills.
  • A genuine commitment to improving workplace safety standards.

An Internal Auditor qualification would be advantageous.

Additional Information:

Additional Information

Salary: £26,000 to £30,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Working hours: 37 hours per week.

Monday to Thursday: 7:00am to 4:00pm
Friday: 7:00am to 3:00pm

Both shifts include a 45-minute lunch break, with an early finish every Friday.
