About the Role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Structural Surveyor Engineer to join a growing engineering consultancy based in Wigan.

This role is suited to an experienced Structural Engineer or Building Surveyor with a strong background in structural inspections, surveys, assessments, and technical reporting. You will work on a wide range of projects, providing expert engineering advice, identifying structural issues, and developing practical solutions for clients.

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out structural surveys, preparing detailed technical reports, assessing existing structures, and working closely with clients, contractors, and internal project teams.

About You:

About The Candidate*

  • Degree qualified in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Experience carrying out structural surveys, inspections, and building assessments.
  • Strong understanding of structural defects, investigations, and remedial solutions.
  • Experience producing technical reports and providing engineering recommendations.
  • Comfortable attending site visits and liaising directly with clients.
  • Good knowledge of UK design standards, regulations, and industry guidance.
  • Experience working on existing buildings, refurbishment projects, and structural assessments.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to manage client relationships.
  • Chartered status with IStructE or ICE would be advantageous.

A proactive approach with excellent attention to detail.
