Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer with expertise in 3D mechanical design, ideally using Autodesk software. This role is perfect for an experienced engineer looking to contribute to product design and development within a growing team.

Responsibilities Include:

• Website and Payment Process Management: Ensure smooth operation of our website, including payment processing systems, security measures, bug diagnostics, and software updates. Address any issues promptly in collaboration with customer services.
• PPC Channel Management: Oversee PPC channels such as Google, Bing, eBay, and Amazon, optimizing ROI, monitoring keywords, and managing third-party PPC channels.
• Marketplace Oversight: Monitor performance on various marketplaces, identifying areas for improvement and managing product feeds.
• SEO Strategy: Track and enhance SEO performance, implementing keyword targets and budgeting for necessary improvements.
• Competitor Analysis: Conduct thorough market research to identify industry trends and areas for innovation.
• Site Support and Collaboration: Liaise with web agencies to address technical issues, conduct UAT testing, and implement changes.
• CRO/UJ/UX Enhancement: Identify and implement changes to improve conversion rates, user journey, and overall user experience.
• Affiliate Management: Manage affiliate partnerships to maximize ROI, including commission tracking and identifying new affiliates.
• Third-Party Provider Management: Review and liaise with various service providers, assisting in implementation and strategy.
• Roadmap Development: Collaborate with directors to set goals and targets based on analysis and strategy.
• Landing Page Creation and Website Optimization: Plan and optimize landing pages and website changes, occasionally managing code and scripts.
• Magento Administration: Oversee user management, attributes, coupon codes, and special offers within Magento.

Key Responsibilities:

• Interpret customer specifications for machinery and modifications, translating them into 3D CAD models, while accommodating bespoke requirements.
• Develop detailed component and assembly drawings, ensuring designs are optimised for efficient manufacturing.
• Manage Bills of Materials (BoMs) using an MRP system, coordinating with Procurement to meet project timelines.
• Collaborate with the Sales team by providing technical design support when required.
• Support product development initiatives and contribute to expanding into new markets.
• Ensure designs comply with BS standards and contribute to risk assessment processes.

Requirements:

• Minimum of five years of relevant industry experience (excluding university experience).
• Degree or HNC qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Strong mechanical background with hands-on experience in engineering design.

• Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 (dependent on experience)

  • Monday - Thursday: 7:30 am - 4:00 pm
  • Friday: 7:30 am - 12:30 pm
