Role Overview
We are seeking a motivated Structural Engineer to join our consultancy team. The role will involve working on a variety of projects, taking responsibility for both design and technical delivery. You will collaborate closely with clients, architects, and contractors to ensure successful project outcomes. Key Responsibilities
Undertake structural design and analysis across steel, concrete, timber, and masonry structures.
Prepare detailed design calculations, drawings, and technical reports.
Contribute to concept, scheme, and detailed design stages.
Carry out structural inspections, assessments, and surveys.
Support project delivery from feasibility through to construction.
Liaise with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with relevant design codes, standards, and regulations.
Provide technical input and problem-solving support throughout the project lifecycle.
Assist with mentoring of junior engineers and technicians where required.
Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or equivalent).
Progress towards Chartered status with ICE or IStructE (preferred).
Proven experience within a consultancy environment.
Strong knowledge of structural design software (e.g. Tekla, TEDDS, Robot, or similar).
Good understanding of UK design codes and building regulations.
Strong communication and report-writing skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Creative approach to problem-solving with a keen eye for detail.
