An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Associate Structural Engineer to join a growing engineering consultancy based in Leicester.
This role offers the opportunity to lead the civil and structural engineering design of a diverse portfolio of projects across the commercial, residential, industrial, healthcare, and education sectors, with project values of up to £50 million.
You will play a key role in managing technical delivery, leading project teams, building strong client relationships, and ensuring projects are delivered on time and to the highest standards.
About The Candidate*
Degree qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering (BEng/MEng).
A minimum of 9 years' post-graduate experience within structural engineering consultancy.
Chartered Engineer status, or working towards chartership through IStructE or ICE.
Strong structural design and analysis experience across steel, reinforced concrete, timber, and masonry.
Proficient in industry-standard structural engineering software.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience managing multiple projects and allocating resources to meet deadlines.
Previous experience leading and mentoring engineers and technicians.
Confident representing the business at client, consultant, and contractor meetings.
Experience producing high-quality technical reports and project documentation.
Strong relationship-building skills with clients, colleagues, and external stakeholders.
Full UK driving licence and access to your own transport.
